They just couldn't wait. What a surprise, 6% of the vote was in yesterday, and even Fox News people were as giddy as school girls. The US will now effectively get what it deserves; the economy, our military, the defense industry and much more will be put under a great strain as it was during the Carter administration. As corporations are taxed increasingly, of course they will pass their costs on to us, the consumers.
Political Detox, remaining true to form, strives to remain optimistic. We are curious as to who will shoulder the blame for every economic, social, international and natural disaster during the next four years. Probably the demons will be business as usual- the Republican minority in Congress; the previous (Bush) administration; Dick Cheney; Carl Rove; Rush Limbaugh, and any conservative who happens by at the moment. It should prove to be quite entertaining, anyway.
When the torch gets passed this January, we'll start seeing some really funny stuff coming out of the halls of Congress; however, the problem is that a lot of it won't really be that funny. For example the UN is a very scary outfit and we may see some troubling alliances developing on that front; 1st & 2nd Ammendment rights could begin eroding, plus some growing bureaucratic agencies might get out of control.
So stay up on what's happening so you can plan ahead for yourselves, and be careful out there. But have fun. Relax. The world is not ending yet.
